    Maintenance Electrician - Shifts

  • Key member of the Engineering Team.
  • Proactive and reactive electrical maintenance including breakdowns and fault finding.
  • Carry out project based electrical work.
  • Call out cover is required for this role.
  • Shifts may vary from mornings, afternoons and nights.
  • Qualified and/or time served Electrician.
  • Experience of working in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Trained to Electricity at Work Regulations (17th Edition)
  • Experience of hydraulic and pneumatic systems - desirable
  • Knowledge of interpreting engineering data / circuit drawings
  • Sound problem solving/fault finding techniques.

    Energy Engineer

  • Responsible for the safety and efficiency of the kiln operations
  • Manage kiln performance to maximise efficiency
  • Carry out maintenance work on all aspects of the kilns, including combustion, electrical and mechanical work
  • Comply with Energy Legislation and Health & Safety Legislation
  • Advising and managing energy strategies and projects working with external bodies, contractors and consultants as required
  • Advise on all aspects of energy throughout the Company including procurement, monitoring and reducing energy consumption
  • On call to deal with kiln engineering issues out of hours
  • Combustion and burner knowledge (Essential)
  • Ideally educated to degree level within an Energy or Engineering Combustion discipline
  • Industrial Gas Safety (Desirable)
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and strong communication skills
  • Reliable, self motivated and flexible, including the ability to work out of normal working hours
  • Individuals must be enthusiastic and have confidence in their ability of problem solving and decision making

    Area Sales Manager

  • Primary sales and technical responsibility for a list of customers/regions
  • Export travel to maintain and develop international sales
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical/application support
  • Gathering, reporting and acting upon competitor and market intelligence
  • Understand and keep abreast of user technology and refractory development
  • Negotiating projects and supply agreements
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in sales and have a suitable background in refractories or materials science/engineering.
  • Experience of the user industries would be an obvious advantage.
  • This role requires a desire to travel as DSF's main business is export.
  • The successful person would join a small sales team operating from the UK factory based close to Buxton, Derbyshire.
  • This is a good opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to contribute to the growth of a well established business.
