DSF produce a range of high alumina bricks, both fired and chemically bonded for use in iron and steel ladles, arc furnace roofs, reheat furnaces, coke ovens and tundish nozzle blocks. We also have a complete range of Monolithic Refractories for the Steel Industry including castables, gunning mixes, ramming mixes and mortars, and the ceramic anchors to fix them. |

Ladles - Iron, Steel and Ferroalloys
DSF specialise in ladle refractories, producing bricks in ISO, DIN and other standard shapes including side arch, radial, mini key and semi-universal sizes.
Products in regular use are fired and chemically bonded bauxite bricks with chrome or pure alumina enrichment.
In each case products are carefully graded and heat treated to give optimum strength, porosity and pore size distribution values.
Ladle bottoms can be produced in bricks, or in the form of precast blocks based on bauxite or tabular alumina-spinel. A complementary range of free-flow castables are available to provide a complete ladle bottom construction. |
| Tundish - Continuous Casting
DSF also specialise in the production of tundish nozzle seating blocks, to tight dimensional tolerances in machine pressed chemically bonded 80% alumina, we also produce the mortar to mount the SEN and ramming material to go around the nozzle block.

Complete roofs or delta sections can be produced in brick or monolithic form. We produce a full range of double taper bricks, normally supplied in phosphate bonded high alumina for tight construction and long life. Low cement castables are available for cast centres or precast delta sections |
