At DSF we have a long and proud history with many of our employees having worked for the company for a considerable number of years. DSF has a tradition of recognising long service, which was continued on the 30th September 2011, when awards were made to 12 DSF employees who have reached the milestone of 25 or 40 years service to the company.

As a thank you for their loyal service to DSF a ceremony was held at Hassop Hall in Derbyshire, where the employees were presented with their awards followed by a celebratory dinner for the recipients and their partners. Also attending were the Team Leaders of the recipients, Directors of DSF and colleagues who they had worked alongside with over the years.

The recipients were:

40 Years Rodney Billinge, Jack Goodwin, Terry Heathcote, Tommy Slater.

25 Years Peter Andrews, Robert Dawson, Stephen Goodwin, Michael Livesley, Neale Parkin, Terry Shuttleworth, Steve Wainwright, Martin Watson.

The first DSF Long Service Awards were held in 1947 and since then there has been an amazing 265 Twenty Five Year awards, 110 Forty Year awards and 46 Fifty Year awards, many of them for fathers, sons, brothers and uncles . As a link with the past, in addition to the award of a watch or clock, all of the recipients were presented with a personalised copy of the original certificates presented at the first award ceremony.
