09 Oct 2010   Busiest Glasstec Yet !

The DSF Team have now returned to the UK and China following our busiest ever Glasstec exhibition. Most of our major customers visited the booth and there was a mood of cautious optimism from our customers and also our fellow exhibitors as the glass industry in the rest of the world starts to follow the recovery and growth already started in Asia.

There was massive interest in Frimax Spinel for oxy-fuel melters as emission controls start to bite in China, and there were further debates with old and new customers wanting to move from magnesia to mullite regenerator construction. Interest was also shown in chimney blocks; as DSF exhibited mullite and pure alumina blocks for the first time.

DSF's growing reputation in the tin bath was also evident as further orders were won for our established product DSF CTB and trials were discussed of our new calcium aluminate block DSF Calex.

It's not clear whether the recent successes and higher profile of DSF brought the visitors, or whether there are just more glass industry projects at the moment, but it was our busiest ever exhibition,. We would like to thank everyone that visited the stand and also a special thanks to our hard working staff who made it such a successful exhibition.
