21 July 2010 DSF World Cup Competition Winners
A big thank you all our customers, suppliers, associates and employees who entered the DSF 2010 World Cup Competitions.
As a company based in England the 2010 World Cup was a bit of a disappointment, but even after England were defeated by Germany there was one thing to still keep us all interested in the World Cup; The DSF world cup competitions.
We ran two parallel competitions, one for people in companies with an association to DSF; customers or suppliers, and a second competition for DSF employees.
There were many unpredictable results that saw teams of the calibre of Italy and France knocked out in the group stages and Brazil, Portugal and England leaving the competition earlier than expected. This meant that scoring wasn’t as high as expected.
Congratulations go to Tony Buffey of Robert Lickley Refractories Ltd, a customer for DSF’s processed minerals who claims the .100 prize money with a total score of 18 points in the Associates Competition.
Winners of the DSF Employee Competition are father and son, John and Richard Taylor who despite having very different predictions in the group games both scored 20 points. They both predicted a 2- 1 Spanish victory in the final, so could not be separated in the tie-break and they both receive £50.
