Mineral Processing 

 

DSF Refractories & Minerals have extensive on-site storage for refractory minerals which are purchased from all around the world. Our crushing, screening and milling facilities are impressive, which allow us to produce large tonnages of material in a very wide range of size fractions to suit customer's requirements.

Typical size fraction are 10-5mm, 5-3mm, 3-1mm, 0.9-0.5mm, -0.5mm, -0.125mm etc

We do not handle any reclaimed material, and we carefully control what is processed though our plant to ensure that we produce products without contamination.

Our minerals can be supplied in 25kg sacks or bulk bags. We can also provide a blend of different size fractions or materials in a single bulk bag to be mixed on the customer's site

We act as a UK agent for several refractory minerals that are not processed by DSF, and we also trade in other products which can be supplied from stocks held at DSF or can be delivered at short notice from our European partners.

Welding & Ceramics  

We supply high purity bauxite in fine powder form for use in submerged arc welding fluxes, produced to tight grain size and chemical analysis tolerances.
   
We also supply chamotte and flint clay which are very low in impurities for the production of sanitary fireclay products and other ceramics.
Refractories (Mineral Processing)  

We use the products we produce in our own refractory products. We also sell many thousands of tonnes to other refractory manufacturers of both bricks and monolithics.
   
Grades produced range from 10mm to -0.125mm ball mill fines.
Road Surfacing  

Calcined Refractory bauxite is widely used as an anti-skid aggregate on roads, pedestrian walkways, bridges and other areas where people or vehicles are likely to slip or skid.
   
DSF is recognised as a quality producer who can produce dust free material in the accurate sieve sizes required.
