A subsidiary company is now established in china; DSF Refractories (Tianjin) Ltd. This is a wholly owned foreign enterprise; we have no local partner, and the company will be managed by experienced UK nationals who have extensive experience of working in the DSF UK operation in Derbyshire.
The factory is located in TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area) close to Xingang Port, about two hours drive from Beijing. Equipment is being purchased and installed, recruitment of local staff has started, and we hope to start production in the second quarter of 2008.
All products will be made to the same high quality standards as in the UK, initially the product range will be small, supplemented by imports into China from the UK, but the number of products made will increase as we become more established. Sales are expected to be a mix of supply to the local Chinese glass manufacturers, but with some export to our established international customers.

DSF is a major importer of refractory minerals. Our state of the art crushing, screening and bagging operation is used to produce high quality processed materials.
